On the morning of Oct. 22, 2013, more than 20 journalists from European mainstream media such as Le Monde, Le Point, Financial Times, The Economist and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Chinese media such as China News Service, China Daily, Southern Weekly and Xinhua Daily visited Sipailou campus, Southeast University. The visit is among the agenda of Discover Nanjing— Exchange between Chinese and European media.
Mrs. Liu Bo, vice-principal of SEU, met all the journalists and welcomed them warmly. In the meeting with journalists, Mrs. Liu introduced the history and the current development of SEU and she answered the questions raised by journalists. The questions were mainly about the extended enrollment, graduates’ job prospects, how to integrate architectural teaching with urban development, etc.
After the meeting, all the journalists visited the auditorium, Chien-Shiung Wu Memorial Hall and the famous ancient juniper. Prof. Zhou Qi from School of Architecture introduced in details the buildings and landscapes inside Sipailou campus, which left a deep impression on journalists from home and abroad.
